Part of my role at Beaver River is working towards meeting the district's Strategic Planning goals. These goals are district-wide and consist of various topic. My role is working towards the district's "Real World Ready" initiative to plan and implement activities that will help make students more prepared for life after graduation.
In the fall of 2022, I began the planning for a large career exploration event that was to be called the "Career Showcase." This event is fro all BRCS students in grades 7-12 to explore various industries and businesses in and around our local area. In the morning session, students complete grade level activities to encourage professional interaction and career exploration with the industry representatives present. The afternoon session was tailored for juniors and seniors, providing them with opportunities to receive feedback on their resumes, cover letters, and interviewing techniques.
