Sample project: Google doodle

In this project, students used Adobe Illustrator (a vector-based drawing application) to create their own version of a "Doodle" that could replace the traditional logo on the Google home page. The goal was a realistic looking Doodle that reinforced the creative process and the skills used in the software.

The process that students used to create this project was as follows:

1. Select a Theme for the Project

2. Research the Theme

3. Create a Mind Map of the concepts and ideas found

4. Generate thumbnail sketches to explore ideas

5. Draw the rough in Illustrator

6. Use self-evaluation, teacher & peer critiques to improve the work

7. Create final artwork printed on a Google template
