Using a variety of instructional strategies in the classroom is a key component to ensuring that every student has the opportunity to learn on their own terms, based on their learning style. Every student learns differently, therefore, it is important to present information in a variety of formats.
In my classes, I employ the following techniques on a regular basis:
Lecture accompanied by visuals (Slides/Notes, Video, Photo, etc.)
Modeling with opportunity for students to work along with the instructor (I do, You do, We do together strategy)
Small/Large Group Discussion
Online Learning Environment (Google Classroom/Meet)
Hands-on Activities and/or Projects
Formative and Summative Assessments
Case Studies
Recitation
Synchronous and Asynchronous Remote and Hybrid Instruction
