In this project, students used a 3D modeling application to create their own character. The project involved coming up with the concept for the robot and determine the purpose the robot would serve on Earth. The process included research on robotic features, character traits and malfunctions, as well as design decisions.
The process that students used to create this project was as follows:
Discuss/Determine purpose for the robot
Develop the character in sketches from various angles
Generate a character study of the robot - including personality traits and possible design flaws
Use 3D modeling techniques to construct the model
Export the 3D model
